Where Is My Contact Information?

Yes. Buyers and agents can contact you directly about your listing.

When your property is listed on the MLS, your contact information is added to the Showing Instructions section of the MLS.

This may include your:

  • Name

  • Phone number

  • Email

  • Showing instructions

This is where agents look when they need to:

  • Ask questions about the property

  • Schedule showings

  • Submit or discuss offers

How Agents Typically Contact You

There are three main ways you may be contacted:

1. Direct Contact From the MLS

Most buyers work with a real estate agent.

That agent will:

  • View your listing in the MLS

  • See your contact details in the showing instructions

  • Contact you directly by phone, text, or email

In many cases, the MLS may include notes such as “Call Owner” to make it clear that agents should contact you directly.

2. Showing Requests Through ShowingTime or Aligned Showing

Most MLS systems use scheduling tools such as:

  • ShowingTime

  • Aligned Showing

  • This is included with your listing.

  • No setup is required.

  • We add your contact information to the showing system.

These tools allow agents to request showings through the MLS and send you text or email notifications where you can approve, decline, or message directly.. Learn more here: How Online Showing Requests Work

3. Call Forwarding Through Our 1-800 Number

Listed Simply also provides a free call forwarding system to help buyers reach you.

Here’s how it works:

  • A buyer calls 1-800-995-5879

  • They option 1 for a property address

  • They enter your property’s street number

  • The call is automatically forwarded to your phone

Calls are forwarded 7 days a week between:

8:00AM – 8:00PM

This helps ensure buyers can reach you if they call the main Listed Simply number.

Why You May Not See Your Phone Number on Zillow or Redfin

Consumer websites such as Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor.com may display information differently than the MLS.

These websites often display:

  • Their own agents

  • Paid advertisers

  • Other contact options

This is normal.

Most serious buyers are working with an agent, and agents use the MLS. Your contact information is displayed in the MLS showing instructions where agents are expected to look.

How to Make Sure Your Contact Info Is Correct

When creating your listing, you can control how agents contact you by filling out:

  • Showing Contact Name

  • Showing Phone Number

  • Showing Instructions

These fields are what get published to the MLS and used by agents.

What to Expect Once Your Listing Is Live

Once your listing is live, you should expect:

  • Calls from agents

  • Text messages from agents

  • Emails from agents

  • Showing requests

  • Questions about the property

This is a normal and important part of getting your home sold.
