Why Were Some of My Photos Not Posted?

Learn why some listing photos may be removed or skipped due to MLS photo rules, including watermarks, contact information, people, pets, and other prohibited content.

Photos are one of the most important parts of your MLS listing, but all photos must follow MLS rules before they can be posted.

If some of your uploaded photos were not added to the MLS, it usually means they may not meet MLS photo guidelines or may include content that the MLS does not allow.

Common reasons photos may not be posted

Some photos may be removed, skipped, or rejected if they include:

  • Watermarks

  • Phone numbers

  • Email addresses

  • Website URLs

  • Social media handles

  • Company names or logos

  • Agent branding

  • Text overlays

  • People

  • Pets

  • License plates

  • Signs with contact information

  • QR codes

  • Screenshots

  • Collages

  • Blurry or low-quality images

  • Duplicate photos

  • Images that do not clearly show the property

MLS rules can vary by location, but these are common restrictions across many MLS systems.

Important note

Listed Simply may remove or skip photos that appear to violate MLS rules.

This helps prevent:
